Facebook surpassed 1 billion active users back in 2012 but that was the count of users who used their account within a month. But this was the first time when 1 billion people were active on the same day. It is very interesting to see how Facebook managed to bring monthly active users to daily active users in just less than 3 years.
As of now, it has 1.49 billion monthly active users according to its company info page. I hope company will soon update info.
Facebook also released a video to celebrate this success.
We made this video to celebrate all you’ve done to help our community connect one billion people in a single day. It’s an amazing milestone. I hope you enjoy.
