Previously, users needed to link to the Facebook post or host video on other platform to embed on website. By introducing this embed video player, users can now host their videos on Facebook and then share it via their websites.

Few days back, we also reported about new revamped video section on Facebook pages. Now this video player for websites. It seems Facebook is quietly working to take on YouTube. Facebook is already popular to share viral videos and this feature will sure add some benefit.

Now, YouTube only has one advantage i.e. publisher program. YouTube share revenue with publishers. I hope Facebook will also come with similar kind of revenue sharing program in near future.
