Today Google has released its new News & Weather app for iOS and iPad. It will display local news and weather data. The app will forecast the current temperature and also forecast the conditions for next 4 day . The app will pull out the news from 65,000 publications and also 60 country specific editions. The app will allow users to customize the app by their own preferences. Suppose if you want the app to display the news only for games, entertainment and technology, you can set these preference from the settings bar. The app will also provide a option to tap on a headline for articles, opinion stories, and local perspectives.
You can also add a location if you want to pick up the news and weather data for a specific location. You can change or add location to see the forecasts for areas beyon your location. If you are on slow connection, you can also hide the images.
Until now, the app was only available for the Android users. Google has optimize this app specifically for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The app was previously updated from Google in the month of August. The app is being rolled out now.
The News & Weather App is available as a free download from Apple Store.
