According to the latest report published by Wireless Smartphone Strategies, The smartphone sales globally will see a rise of 15% by 2015. The survey has been done in 88 countries. There is a slowdown in the featured phone sales that means people are moving towards the smartphones. Asia Pacific will be the driving force. US and China will dominate the sales till 2015 but India will soon take over the US position by the end of 2019. It is also said in the report that Africa and middle east will see a strong smartphone  growth by the end of 2020. It will be seen as the next global smartphone market. The world top 20 dominating  countries will contribute about 8 to 10% smartphone sales.

The growth seems as the technology keep on upgrading in the smartphones. And with every new product launch, new features have added in the smartphones. People also want to have latest smartphones with updated technologies in their hand. According to the report the three largest country which will dominate the smartphone sales are India, China and US due to their massive population and smartphone revolution. The survey is dedicated to 88 countries and almost all the big countries were covered including US, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. The smartphone growth that we are expecting is not originating from North America and Europe but this is growing in Asia Pacific and Middle East due to availability of the cheap smartphones. Local manufacturer and Google’s latest Android one are the example of good quality smartphone at affordable price. Users are buying cheap smartphones and enjoying the ease of technology. The growth in the smartphone reflects in the growth of internet. North America is shifting from 3G to LTE. The rest of the world are shifting from Edge to 3G. This is the result of the growth of the smartphone and mobile internet. The report says that Japan, South Korea and North America are leading among the LTE penetration.

There is one more advantage of the Global smartphone growth and that is the increase in data traffic volume. It is expected that 45% will be the growth of the data traffic in coming years. It is mainly due to the video streaming and social messaging. According to Ericssion, On an average per active smartphone contributes about 600MB to 2.2GB per month. The internet is now so much popular on mobile that all are developers are now concentrating to make applications of each and everything so that the people life can be made simple and they will do everything related to their daily activities. People are now very much dependent on their smartphones and technology that is also one of the reason of the smartphone growth. The third Quarter of 2013 is best for the smartphone sales. All the smartphone maker firms selling about 258.4 million smartphone.

Reports also reveals that India is growing nine times faster than China in terms of smartphone sales. It is also said that India has an additional sales of about $4.8 billion in 2015 as compared to 2014 whereas China will have $1.8 billion dollar. We will also see double digit growth in countries like Nigeria, Pakistan, Vietnam and Bangladesh. There is a drop seen in the six developed nations U.S., Japan, U.K., Germany, South Korea and Italy for the coming year of 2015. The coming era is of the developing nations and India, China has  topped the list. We are waiting to see the more analysis results focused on these two countries. We are focusing on both Indian and China in 2015 but for China there is a always a bright spot in the terms of manufacturing. Another important thing is that it has a market value 5 times more than as compared to India.

Chinese firms are making a tremendous growth in the field of technology. In recent months, Huawei, ZTE, Lenovo, Xiaomi and Gionee have shown their potential to world. In India, we have seen how people were fighting online to buy Xiaomi products. Xiaomi is the 4th largest smartrphone maker in the world by the volume of smartphone they have sold in Q2 2014. This shows clearly that the Chinese brands are becoming more famous around the world.

So, In the last we must agree that the growth of the smartphone or phone market is good in many ways that are listed above but it is also creating a alarming electronic waste that should be a matter of fact after some years.
