Amazon pickup store

Amazon has just given Indian consumers another reason to buy goods online from Amazon India. It has opened pick up stores in two cities of India where consumers can choose to have their order delivered. Currently this option is only available in Delhi and Mumbai. But we can expect it for other metro cities very soon.

Pick Up stores are the places which you can set for your order delivery. And you can get your order from that pick up stores. Once your packages is delivered to pick up location, you can get email notification. This is helpful for those who does not want to get their packages delivered to home or office address. In day time if you are in office and no body is there at home to receive the order, you can use this. This service aims single working people who live alone and people on the move. You can collect your package on any working day between between 9:30 am to 8:30 pm if the store is in Mumbai and from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm if it’s in Delhi.

For this, Amazon has tied up with with Bharat Petroleum and is using In & Out range service located at fuel outlets in Delhi and Mumbai.

Don’t forget to take your photo identity proof. In case you can not reach for collecting the package, the person collecting the package should have the copy of your valid photo identity proof signed by you with tracking ID of the order.

“All items Fulfilled by Amazon having girth (length + width + height) less than 65cm and any one side not exceeding 25cm can be delivered to the store,” Amazon explains.

It is worth to note that you will have to collect the package within 7 days otherwise it will be returned for refund. Delivery rates are same but you cannot select single day delivery option.

This is not the only online retailer offering pick-up store. Saholic already launched pickup facility back in August 2012. It uses Spice Hotspot as pickup store.
