Google at the starting nothing to say about the barge that leads to the news agencies started guessing what is the intention of the company before building this barge and why it is placed near mountain view. There were also reports that it was built for the party purposes of the Google executives and also for interacting with the important customers. Others reports suggested that might be it was built in order to run Google services – a concept the company has patented.

After the report come from  Turner Construction, It was then become that it was a Floating Retail Centre. Google hoped that barge will be completed within time limit but the plan did not work because maritime officials began raising questions about the vessel. The work on the project stopped as the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development  said that Google did not obtain the proper permissions to build the barge at Treasure Island.

So Google thought that in order to sustain further fines and penalties its better to to move the barge to Stockton, about 80 miles east of San Francisco on the Sacramento-San Joaquin River delta.                                                                                                                                               Google Barage
