Microsoft may release the first update to Windows 8.1 as early as March 11. The update will be loaded with some improvements of the shutdown button and search button.
Microsoft’s Windows 8 has been criticized a lot. Earlier the shutdown button in Windows 8.1 had been hidden and it was quite hard for new users to locate it. In fact, some people used the power button of their laptops for shutdown until they had ‘discovered’ the shutdown button. Tom Warren (senior reporter at The Verge) had tweeted:
One thing I don’t understand in Windows 8 – why the heck are the shutdown/restart options hidden away in settings?!

Windows 8.1 Update 1 is being released to tackle some of these drawbacks (leaked information). With the installation of the new updates, the power options will be shown at the top right corner of the Start Screen. To the left of the power button will be a search button.
Another important change to look forward is the direct manipulation of the Live Tiles in the Start Screen. Until now, to remove a Live Tile, one needed to right click the tile, and choose from the managing options from a bar that appeared at the bottom of the screen. This will now be replaced with a mouse friendly context menu that will appear on right clicking the tile.
With such leaked information about Windows 8.1 updates, the impatience would be growing among the users community.
