Google has acquired a website protection startup Impermium. Impermium team will join Google and work with Google’s spam and abuse team. Impermium and Google have not disclosed the value of the acquisition.
Impermium has an platform that improves account management by identifying fraudulent registrations, compromised accounts and risky transactions. Impermium also sent a message to its customers saying that it will shout down its services to all third party websites.

Impermium was founded three years ago with the mission of protecting websites from spam, fraud and abuse. They had also raised $9 million funding from different investors including Highland Capital Partners, the Social+Capital Partnership, AOL Ventures and few other.
