Fan Merchandise start up Bluegape Raises Rs. 1.5 Crore Through LetsVenture.com.

Two years old Indian startup, Bluegape has raised Rs. 1.5 Crore through online funding platform LetsVenture.com. The fundraise took about two months to complete from multiple investors around globe. Bluegape is well known for its fan merchandise for Krrish and Aam Aadmi Party.

Back in May, Bluegape raised angel investment from Aniket Khera & Rahul Bhatia. Earlier, it had also raised Rs 10 lakhs seed capital from Times Group investment arm TLabs.

Headquartered in New Delhi, Bluegape sells Posters, T-Shirts, Mugs, laptop skins and Cushion Covers for brands. Bluegape was founded in August 2011 by Sahil Baghla (CEO), Ayush Varshney (CTO) and Akash Rastogi (operations) with initial investment of Rs. 2 lakh. Bluegape was started as a personalized poster company from the IIT campus. Main objective of Bluegape is to provide a platform through people can find customized products of their choice.

“We will using this money to build up our technology such that brands can take their Fan Store live by using our customization tools and can monitor real time sales and traffic on their Store. We will also strengthen our supply chain with this funding,” Sahil Baghla, CEO of Bluegape said in official statement given to Techlomedia.

Bluegape is also planning to launch a fan store for brands just like Fan Page on Facebook. Brands will only need to upload their design and Bluegape will take care of Manufacturing, Logistics, Customer Support etc.

“Bluegape works on No Inventory model such that we print the product only after customer places the order. Brand earns the royalty on each sales happening,” Sahil added.
