Microsoft Launches Remote Desktop App

Microsoft has launched its remote desktop app for Android and iOS device. This app lets users control their windows machine from remote location.

Microsoft Launches Remote Desktop App

This app is mainly launched for business users who want to work from their system on the go. These are the main features of the app:

  • Access to remote resources through the Remote Desktop Gateway.
  • Rich multi-touch experience with remote desktop protocol (RDP) and RemoteFX supporting Windows gestures.
  • Secure connection to your data and applications with breakthrough Network Layer Authentication (NLA) technology.
  • Simple management of all remote connections from the connection center.
  • High quality video and sound streaming with improved compression and bandwidth usage.

The only limitation with the app is that controlling the entire desktop from small screen is not so easy. You also need to enter the IP address of the device manually for connecting to the system. Read more about the app and learn how to use it from official Microsoft website.

Microsoft has already offered remote access to Windows PCs for many years. But this is the first time when the feature came for mobile devices.

You can download Microsoft Remote desktop app for free from Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
