Facebook Introduces Videos in Instagram

Facebook has added a new Feature to Instagram called “Video On Instagram.” This new feature allows users to record and share 15 seconds videos in the app. Instagram has also added 13 new filters for video editing. Instagram’s co-founder and CEO Kevin Systrom announced this feature in an event at Facebook’s Menlo Park headquarters.

Facebook Introduces Videos in Instagram

Users can edit frames of videos to remove certain part of video. Users can also choose a cover photo for their videos. To record video, click on the camera icon that you use to take snaps. A new video camera icon will appear at right. Tap it and you will see a red video button recording the clips.

Systrom also announced that Instagram has 130 million monthly active users who have shared 160 billion photos to date. He also added that more than 1 billion likes are added to the service every day.

Company launched this feature to compete with Twitter’s video sharing Vine. Vine was recently launched for Android few days back and got enough popularity.

This feature is being rolled out to all Instagram usrs on IOS and Android.
