HTC One Google Edition Announced, Coming to Google Play Store on June 26 for $599

Another smartphone with stock Android coming soon. Android head, Sundar Pichai has announced at D11 Conference that company will start selling HTC One Google edition from June 26 via Google Play Store for $599. Samsung Galaxy S4 Google edition is already available with stock Android through Google Play Store for $649. It is also set to be available on June 26.

HTC One Google Edition wil run on Android 4.2.2. It features 4.7 inch full HD display. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 600. Other features are 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage and Beats audio.

In this smartphone, HTC has added a new camera technology called Ultra pixel. All features of nexus edition HTC one are similar to original HTC One. Only difference is the stock Android. The Google version of HTC One works with GSM cellular networks.

HTC has also shared more details about this nexus version of HTC one in official blog. “We’re excited to offer HTC fans and admirers alike a new experience on what we think is the best hardware available today,” HTC noted in a blog post.

Initially, this nexus version of smartphone will be available in United states. But we can expect global availability of the smartphone in later months.

Now its clear that Google is interested in expanding Nexus brand. Initially it has partnered with LG for Nexus smartphone. Now it is adding more vendors in the list.
