It seems that Google is planning to bring Google Shopping in India. Google has already been testing Google Shopping results with search results for few users. It means, when you will search for a product, Google will show product listing at the right side on various retailers with image and pricing.
Google Shopping was already available in United States and many other countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Spain, Switzerland, Netherlands, Italy, and Czech Republic. If it comes to India, it will be really useful to find a better product and compare prices direct from the search results. Google show shopping results for variety of products. If you are searching for a product that is available in any retailer, it will show you shopping results along with search results.
But there is one thing worth to mentioning is that Google is showing results with label sponsored So, search results for shopping will be influenced by the payment of retailers and advertisers.
Google is currently testing the feature and trying to see how it performs. If everything goes successful, Google will roll out this for all users.
