Twitter has announced a new two-tiered service called Twttr. Twitter thinks that vowels are not really necessary in today’s digital age. So, you can only use constants in tweets. If you want to include vowels in Tweet, you can use premium service that will cost $4 per month.
“We’re doing this because we believe that by eliminating vowels, we’ll encourage a more efficient and “dense” form of communication. We also see an opportunity to diversify our revenue stream,” Twitter explained.
Sometimes users will be able to Y and vowels are allowed in URLs. This makes sense otherwise, url shortener services will be of no use for us. If you are not quick enough in writing without vowels, you can use this twttr tool.
After these changes, you will have more space to Tweet. Of Course it will also increase the revenue of the company. This new service will be launch from April 1st (It may be a April Fool prank).
“Twttr will roll out slowly to a small percentage of users, growing to 100% over the next few days. We recommend that you practice using only consonants (and “y”) with the hashtag #nvwls (or if you have paid for our premium service, use #icanhasvowels),” Twitter added.
You can read more about this new service on official Twitter blog.
We are not sure whether it is really a new service of April Fool Prank. What do you think? Is it true or prank? Share wit us.
