As we reported earlier, Asus has finally launched Asus Fonepad in India for Rs. 15,999. This 7 inch Android tablet comes with voice calling. It will go on sale on April 30.
Asus Fonepad is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor. It features a 7 inch LED Backlight WXGA IPS Panel display with 1280 × 800 resolution. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly bean. COmpany has also promised for Android 4.2 update fot the tablet in coming weeks. It features 1 GB RAM ad comes with 8 GB internal storage. users will also get 5GB Life Time ASUS Webstorage Space with purchase.
Fonepad features a 3 megapixel camera at the back of the tablet along with a front camera of 1.2 megapixel. Connectivity features of the smartphone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V3.0 and Use 2.0. This tablet also features 3G and voice calling over 3G network.
Asus Fonepad comes with GPS & Glonass,G-Sensor, E-compass, Proximity and Ambient Light Sensor.

Wow, this looks pretty neat. 8GB of internal storage is a bit light though. But it does sound like most Android devices have limited storage anyway. Is there room for external storage or an HDMI card?
