Microsoft will soon retire Windows Live Messenger. Back in December when company decided to retire messenger, users opposed this decision and expressed their frustration. Many people still want to use Windows Live messenger. So company has now decide to roll out a promotional offer by giving free calling.

Microsoft is trying its best to move users to Skype so that it can discontinue Windows Live messenger  Company also suggested users to move on Skype and migrated Windows Account to Skype account to make users’ work easy.

Now Microsoft is offering users free calling for one month if they uninstall Windows Live Messenger and download Skype. Users can use same Microsoft account to login and use Skype.

“Skype can do so much and we want you to try it for free. Call mobiles and landlines worldwide, make group video calls and a whole lot more. That’s it. No strings. Just more catch ups, chitchats and it’s-so-nice-to-see-you, totally free for a month,” Microsoft says as part of the promo.

After using this one month free service, users will automatically registered for $9.99 (€7.75) subscription plan.
