Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 and Tab 2 311 Get a Price Cut, Now for Rs. 15999 and Rs. 12599

Samsung India has announced another price cut but this time for tablet devices. Samsung has cut the prices of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 and Tab 2 311. Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S Duos also got price cut earlier this month.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 was launched last month in May for Rs. 19,500. Now it is available only for Rs. 15999 in India. Wifi only tablet Galaxy Tab 2 3111 went on sale few weeks back only for Rs. 13,900. Now it is available for Rs. 12,599.

Both tablet features 7 inch touchscreen LCD display with resolution of 1024×600 pixels. These are powered by 1 GHz dual core processor. Galaxy Rab 2 311 comes with Android Jelly Bean 4.1 but Galaxy Tab 2 310 comes with Android 4.1 ICS. But Jelly Bean update is now available for Galaxy Tab 2 310. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 311 is a Wi-FI only tablet while Tab 2 310 comes with a 3G SIM slot and supports voice calling.

Most of the features are similar in both tablets. For Indian consumers, Galaxy Tab 2 310 is much better than Tab 2 311. The reason behind this is Wifi availability. In Galaxy Tab 2, there is a 3G SIM slot that also supports voice calling. Se we will be connected on the go.

This price cut wil surely bring smile on Indian consumers’ faces. Samsung is getting tough competition from Micromax in low cost device market. So Micromax is trying to make devices cheaper with price cut so that mid range consumer can afford Samsung device.

It will be interesting to see how Samsung manage to capture low cost devices. Recently launched Micromax A116 Canvas HD is in huge demand and has broken sales record for Micromax History. It can be a pint of worry for Samsung because Micromax is now launching mid range devices and getting customers.
