Symbian played a main role in the success of Nokia. It also played key part in the smartphone game over the past ten years. After the touchscreen devices came, Symbian started getting tough competition. It has few popular Symbian phone which we cannot forget. In the beginning of 2011, Nokia started shifting on Windows Phone.

Although, company has managed to sell 4.4 million Lumia smartphones, its market share is still very low.

Symbian was the first smartphone operating system but it could not compete with other latest operating systems. So it was a nice move from Nokia. SO long Symbian.
