Google-mapsA week ago, Google has launched Google Maps app for iOS devices that has created a new milestone. In first two days after the launch, this third party native mapping app has received 10 million downloads in just 24 days after launch.

Jeff Huber, senior vice president of Commerce and Local at Google, confirmed this milestone in a post on Google+.

“We’re excited for the positive reception of Google Maps for iPhone around the world. Congratulations to the Maps Team on the recognition for the passion and hard work they poured into it, for this release and over the last 7+ years,” Huber wrote on his Google+ account.

Previously, Google Maps was first-party iOS application but Apple has dropped it when it launched iOS maps. Apple maps has received much criticism and has so many errors.
