MTNL has also jumped into the tablet market of India with device manufacturer Teracom. Company has launched three tablets under the “Lofty” brand name. These tablets are called Lofty TZ300, Lofty TZ200 and the Lofty TZ100. Costs of these tablets are Rs 3,999, Rs 6,499 and Rs 10,999 respectively
MTNL is also offering 3G data offer of 10 GB for two months with these tablets.
Lofty TZ300
Lofty TZ300 is an entry level low cost Android 40 ICS based tablet. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Arm cortex A9 architecture based processor with 512 MB of RAM. For video calling, it also features a 0.3 megapixel camera and 7 inch resistive touchscreen display with an 800 480 pixel resolution. It comes with 4 GB internal storage. It also supports 3G with USB dongle.
Lofty TZ200
It is also an Andoid 4.0 based mid range tablet that is powered by a 1.2 GHz Arm cortex A9 architecture based processor. It comes with 512 MB RAM and 4 Gb internal storage. It features a 7 inch capacitive touch based input system with support for multi touch. It also features a front camera for video calling and 3G connnectivity with USB.
Lofty TZ100
Lofty TZ100 is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A9 architecture based processor and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It comes 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. It has a 7 inch display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution display. It also features 3 megapixel camera at the back of device and 0.3 megapixel camera front camera for video calling. TZ 100 also comes with calling functionality with support for a 3G SIM for both voice as well as data functions.
