Karbonn to Launch Intel Based Smartphone

Few days back, Intel partnered with Lava to launch Intel based smartphone. Later, Lava launched world’s first Intel Atom Z2460 mobile processor based smartphone Xolo 900. Now Intel has partnered with one more Indian handset manufacturer Karbonn to bring more Intel based smartphones. karbonn’s Intel based smartphone will be launched by the end of this year.

Pardeep Jain, managing director, Karbonn Mobiles, said to The Mobile Indian, “Karbonn Mobiles will launch an Intel based Android smartphone by year end in India.”

He added, “Our research and development team has been working with Intel on this project for quite some time now.” However, he did not more about price or specifications of the smartphone.

Some other international brands like Lenovo are already working on Intel chipset based smartphones. Users will see more Intel based smartphone in the market in near future. Motorola has also announced a Intel based smartphone which will be launched by the end of this year.

If we talk about one and only Intel based smartphone in India, Lava Xolo X900 was launched few months back. It features single core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 mobile processor with Intel Hyper-Threading technology. This smartphone is one of the best smartphones available for gaming.

It supports all modern 3D graphics with Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator with 400 MHz Graphics Engine. It also support HD video playback. This smartphone comes with Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities, and micro HDMI to output high quality videos.

Lava Xolo X900 has 4.03 inch touch screen. It also features 8 megapixel camera which should ideally be able to record 1080p HD videos. This camera also features a burst mode, which will allow users to capture ten pictures within a second at 8 megapixel quality. Along with a rear camera, it also features a 1.3 megapixel front camera for video calls. It also has 1 GB Ram and 16 GB internal memory.
