Amazon’s Kindle for Android App Gets Updated

Amazon has just pushed an update to their Kindle for Android app. This app supports al devices running on Google’s Android 2.1 or newer OS flavors. Amazon’s Kindle app allows users to access millions of kindle books that can be re-downloaded to supported Kindle devices and apps.

With this update, Amazon has added more content for children and added a Send-to-Kindle support on Android. The release notes for the new application version include:

– Support for Kindle Format 8 and a larger assortment of illustrated children’s books, comic books, and graphic novels. Shop for over 1000 children’s titles such as Brown Bear and Curious George, and comics such as Batman and Superman. Plus, richer formatting in thousands of other Kindle titles.

– Email documents to your new Send-to-Kindle e-mail address and we deliver them to your device. Documents are archived in the Amazon Cloud and can be re-downloaded to supported Kindle devices and apps.

This new version of app is available to download both through Google Play Store and via Amazon’s own app portal for Android.
