Google+ is now open to 13 years and older

Google has allowed teenagers to join Google+ but with some precautions.

Google has finally given a smile to the faces of some teens by opening the social network, Google+ to everyone who are 13 years old or over. But Google has also taken some precautions to ensure that youngsters have a good experience in Google+.

Google’s VP, Product Management, Bradley Horowitz, wrote in a post,”Teens and young adults are the most active Internet users on the planet [1]. And surprise, surprise: they’re also human beings who enjoy spending time with friends and family. Put these two things together and it’s clear that teens will increasingly connect online. Unfortunately, online sharing is still second-rate for this age group.”

When a teen tries to share outside of their circle of friends. The message reads: “When you share publicly, people you haven’t added to your circles will be able to view your post and may be able to comment.”

Google+ has made it impossible for people who are not in a teenager’s circles to contact them. whenever someone who isn’t in a teenager’s circle joins, the teenager users will be removed from the chat. If they wish to join again, they can join and Google+ also advice to add the person to circles if they know the person.
