Micromax has reduced the price of its Android smartphone Micromax Superfone A85. It is now available for Rs. 15,290 which is Rs 3,700 less than the older price.
“We’ve made the A85 Superfone even more affordable. It is now priced for Rs 15,290,” a Micromax spokesperson said.
This smartphone is powered by dual-core 1 GHz mobile processor and runs on Android Froyo 2.2. It has a 5 MP camera on the back and 0.3 MP front camera. But LED flash is missing which is disappointing. The Superfone A85 features a 3.8 inch capacitive touchscreen display with WVGA (480×800) pixel resolution. It also features all the connectivity options such as WiFi, Bluetooth and A-GPS. It has a good battery backup with 1500 mAh battery in it.
This seems a smart decision taken by the company. Because the smartphone was getting tough competition from couple of smartphones which were available in the same price range. Setting the price lower than those will surely help the company to attract some users.
