Larry Page said to have 40 million users in Google+

Google+ CEO Larry Page has announced the third quarter financial results in which he also announce the number of users registered on the Google’s social network. Now this is the official announcement by Google to have 40 million users in Google+.

“We had a great quarter,” said Larry Page, CEO of Google.  “Revenue was up 33% year on year and our quarterly revenue was just short of $10 billion. Google+ is now open to everyone and we just passed the 40 million user mark. People are flocking into Google+ at an incredible rate and we are just getting started!”

40 million users in just 4 month after the launch seems impressive. Google+ is growing fast and adding users at fastest rate. There are many reasons behind it. But the problem is how many people are really active on Google+. Google should also reveal these numbers.

Google has reported $9.72 billion in revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, an increase of 33% compared to the third quarter of 2010.
