Google starts Cloud database solution with MySQL

Google is expanding its cloud solution with the expansion of some more capabiloties. Google is now offering the cloud database with App Engine. Google App engine was a simple way to develop database driven applications. Now with Google Cloud SQL, developers can move their database into cloud. This service is totally free of cost and also offers several advance features for free.
Google announced it in a blog post,”One of App Engine’s most requested features has been a simple way to develop traditional database-driven applications. In response to your feedback, we’re happy to announce the limited preview of Google Cloud SQL.”
“You can now choose to power your App Engine applications with a familiar relational database in a fully-managed cloud environment. This allows you to focus on developing your applications and services, free from the chores of managing, maintaining and administering relational databases,” it added.
Using this service will be easy and give you some advantage. Everything on the cloud will be managed by Google so you do not need to worry about anything. Google is using MySQL so most of the web developers can use it easily and all the things will be on Google data centers so 100% uptime. It has also the option to import and expot database with easy GUI.
But this is only a preview mode so we can not say whether it will remain free of cost or not. It will notify users 30 days in advance once it decides to do that.
