Pakistan to block Google and Youtube

Pakistan government has threatened to block Google and YouTube because the administrator of the websites are not helping the Federal Investigating Agency (FIA) to tackle cyber crimes.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik remarked this while talking to reporters at the headquarters of the Federal Investigation Agency.

He added if Google will not help FIA in Future, it could be blocked in Pakistan  He did not reveal the cyber crime cases for what FIA is investigating and need help.

Since terrorists involved in the Mumbai attacks had used the internet-based telephonic service based in the US, Malik suggested that action should be taken against the service provider according to the country’s laws for involvement in cyber crimes.

Social media ban is not a new thing in Pakistan. There are many such incidents when Pakistani government ban websites. But, this time incident is related to cyber crime investigation. If these tech giants are really not co-operating the government, this will be the right way.

No one from the Google or YouTube has commented on the issue. But we are sure now they will co-operate with government.
