The name of this service is Origin. In origin, there are more than 150 games for download. It will allow gamers to set up personal accounts and play both PC and mobile multiplayer games with one another.
David DeMartini, senior vice president of Global Online at EA said, “Origin is a game service with two fundamental features. It also offers a social function which, over time, will connect a player’s profile with friends lists and a cross-platform feed that shows what your friends are playing and where.”
Origin platform only offers limited edition copies of highly anticipated EA games to gamers, including FIFA12. Games currently available for download on Origin include Crysis 2 and Darkspore. You can also pre-order upcoming titles like FIFA 12 and Mass Effect 3. EA also promises to offer “exclusive game content and trailers” on Origin in the near future.

The new store only currently contains first-party games, or games that Electronic Arts publishes. EA has not said whether it will offer third-party or indie distribution on Origin in the future.
